While Crestview Recovery does not provide medical detox services, we are committed to supporting individuals in finding suitable facilities for this crucial aspect of their recovery journey.

When we set out to create Crestview Recovery, our goal was to create a place where we would send our own loved ones if they were struggling with substance use disorder. Many of our staff members are in recovery, so we really understand the kind of struggles our clients are facing. Going through withdrawal is a painful, stressful experience. Our goal is to be a place of refuge for people who have gone through detox and are ready to begin substance use treatment.

After deciding to get sober, many individuals are anxious to complete drug rehab. In doing so, they often skip the most important first step: medical detox. Medical detox isn’t an extra step that interferes with treatment. Rather, it builds the foundation for your recovery: here’s why.

Medical detoxification involves quitting drugs or alcohol under the supervision of healthcare professionals. At Crestview Recovery, we refer you to one of our trusted partners who perform detox in a controlled environment.

Many people find sterile hospital rooms depressing. We know this can interfere with addiction treatment, which is why we only recommend facilities that are as much like home as possible. A bright, cheerful environment allows for privacy and safety while ensuring each person feels as relaxed and comfortable as possible.

During detox, the facility will provide nurturing comfort to help individuals better manage their withdrawal symptoms. In some cases, this can involve the use of medication to help ease discomfort. Other times, just a calm, soothing voice and a word of encouragement give clients the strength to continue on.

There’s no set timeframe for medical detox. Some people may breeze through it in as few as three days, while others require up to ten days. It really depends on the type of addiction you have, the degree of your usage, and other factors.

We know that full recovery depends on the successful completion of medical detoxification. As such, staff will never rush you through the detox process. They’ll release you to rehab only when all toxins have left your system and withdrawal symptoms are at a manageable level.

After you complete detox and begin rehab with us, you’ll have access to numerous programs such as:

We have found that offering a well-rounded approach to treatment produces the best possible results. Accordingly, we may allow you to “mix and match” programs to come up with a custom plan that works best for you.

We also offer men’s and women’s programs to address a variety of substance use issues. Once you complete your time at our inpatient drug rehab center, we may recommend one of our aftercare programs to help you stay sober, including:

As with detox, there’s no set time frame for rehab. Some clients may complete treatment in 30 days, while others will require up to one year. Again, we don’t suggest rushing the process.

Changing your lifestyle takes time. You didn’t develop an addiction overnight, and will therefore not break it in only a few days. Remember that you’re making an investment in your future. Accordingly, the time you spend with us will pay great dividends in the long run.

Addiction doesn’t have to control your life. Give us a call today at (866)262-0531 so we can help you take the next step.
